ralph Shea Chaplic

Ralph “Sweet Science” Chaplic, originally from a small town called South Dennis in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  He lived with his Trainer David Gonsalves Jr. early on in his boxing career. There, he was able to concentrate more on training and building the discipline he would need that eventually gave him such a good run as an athlete.

At age 16 his true amateur career started where he won 3 Golden Glove titles, 3 USA New England ABF Championships, 2 New England Diamond Belt Championships, 1 USA ABF Regional Championship. In 1991 he decided to turn pro after his Olympic dreams were dashed when he didn’t make the team in 1988 to go to Seoul, Korea. Instead, he managed to compile a pro record of 15-0 8 KO’S when he won his first pro title which was the USA New England Lightweight Title. He ended his pro career with a 17-1 10 KO record.
